The Problem Is Not The Problem

Saw this on 9GAG today and immediately thought of all you troubled language learners.

The problem is not the problem

Do YOU understand?

The problem = learning a language.

Learning a language = not a problem.

The problem = your attitude/believe.

Like one guy named Matt (and I think some obscure company called “Nike”) once said: (Just) do it.

A Spanish teacher by trade, Ramses is a true language learning addict. He started Spanish-Only.com and The Language Dojo, and isn't even thinking about quitting language learning; it's in his blood!

I was thinking about pirates of caribean right now, I guess that I’m on the truman show as a protagonist…. eníuei… that’s the truest quote ever, what is really important is not the method, it’s your philosophy. People on language sites are always talking about “what method fits better with your philosophy” and never think about changing your philosophy in the first place. I tried many methods, and went through all this “personal development” bullshit, but I just saw the light at the end of the tunnel when I adopt AJATT philosophy:

“don’t have goals, don’t write ideas down, don’t try to see “the big picture”, don’t try to change yourself, change ONLY the environment, don’t try to “make things right”, don’t have a past, don’t have a future, just think in the next thing that you will do a nothing more than that, like you do with Tv, games etc”
